Comedian ‘Tado’ Dies in Tragic Bus Mishap

MANILA, Philippines – Comedian ‘Tado’, whose real name is Arvin Jimenez, was confirmed among the casualties in a tragic bus accident in Bontoc, Mountain Province.
Fourteen people were reported to have died including Tado, after a Florida bus fell off a ravine on Friday morning in Sitio Panggang, Baranggaay Talubin, Bontoc., according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Cordillera.
The 39-year old comedian posted last Thursday on his Instagram account a photo of the ill-fated bus which was scheduled to leave at 8:35 p.m. with a caption “Long trip, as in trip trip.”
Tado, whose nickname came from a shortened form of a Tagalog expletives “Tarantado”, is a Filipino comedian who has appeared in some popular TV shows like “Masayang Tanghali Bayan”, “Happy Yipee Yehey and “Laugh to Laugh: Ang Kulit” as well as in a number of films.
He was also part of “The BrewRATs” radio program with Ramon Bautista, a show which eventually became an Internet radio show onDigRadio every Thursday from 9 PM to midnight.
Tado graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) with a degree in psychology and was an active member of Scouts Royale Brotherhood.
He runs a business called “LimiTado” with his own wife, with whom he has four daughters.
