MANILA, Philippines – Embattled Senator Jinggoy Estrada suddenly changed his mind about the anticipated face-off between him and Technology Resource Center (TRC) general manager-on-leave-turned-state witness, lawyer Dennis Cunanan, at the Senate “pork barrel scam” probe on March 06.
Estrada said he is no longer interested in meeting Cunanan, the latest witness to implicate him in the “pork” anomaly, because he neither expects the truth from the TRC chief, nor from the on-going investigation.
“I think I will no longer attend. It’s a big joke. They will just cast lies,” Estrada told Senate reporters.
A few days ago, Estrada signified his intention to attend the Senate Blue Ribbon hearing on the pork barrel scandal to personally hear Cunanan’s testimony.“Let’s see. That might be interesting,” said Estrada then, when asked whether he has plans to attend the Senate probe. (Click here to read more)
