MANILA, Philippines – A Filipina nurse based in San Antonio, Texas has finally found his long-lost father, whom she had not seen for more than two decades since he set off for in Japan in 1991 to work.
The reunion could not have happened without the help of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the public service announcement it posted on the social networking site Facebook.
Jazelle Ann Sto. Domingo-Camiling was only six years old when her father, Dominador, left the family for Japan on June 12, 1991. They then lost contact of him two years after for unexplained reason.
She said the family, including Dominador’s parents, never stopped looking for him. They later found out that he was not lost, after all, but was actually in Japan working without a visa for 22 years. (Click here to read more)
