US Officials Looking into Terror Links to Missing Malaysian Plane

MANILA, Philippines – High-ranking officials from Washington said they are considering terrorism to have possible link to the missing Malaysian airliner because of a recent revelation about stolen passports used by two of its passengers.

The officials are quick to clarify, however, that there is no clear indication yet of a terror link and added stolen passports may have been used also for other criminal reasons like drug smuggling.

Sources revealed two stolen passports were used to board the Malaysian Flight 370 – one belongs to an Italian man and another to an Austrian – both of which were reportedly stolen in Thailand several months back.

“We are aware of the reporting on the two stolen passports,” a US senior official said. “We have not determined a nexus to terrorism yet, although it’s still very early, and that’s by no means definitive.” (Click here to read more)
