Al-Qaeda ‘Supergrass’ Links Missing Plane to Terror Plot

Amid the  growing number of speculations regarding the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, an Al Qaeda “supergrass” (British slang for informer) recently said the missing plane may have been an object of a plot reminiscent of the 9-11 New York terrorist attack.

According to The Telegraph – UK, Saajid Muhammad Badat, a British-born Muslim informer from Gloucester, told a court last week about a plot by Malaysian jihadists to hijack an airliner in the 9-11 style, using a shoe bomb to blow up the cockpit.

Badat, who testified last week via a video in the New York trial of Osama bin Laden’s son-in-law, Abu Ghait, admitted to have been given instructions at an Afghanistan terror camp to give the Malaysian men a shoe bomb. (Click here to read more)
