MANILA, Philippines – Comedian Vice Ganda and Senator Nancy Binay’s reconciliation has been captured in a “selfie” taken when the two had a dinner hosted by a common friend.
The “It’s Showtime” host and the neophyte senator figured in a much-publicized spat during last election’s campaign period after the comedian questioned on air the qualifications of Binay, who was then running for senator.
During the show, Vice Ganda was asked of his plan should he decide to enter politics, to which he replied in jest, “Gusto ko president ako agad, “ and then adding, “‘Yung wala kang background, pero mataas agad, parang ‘yung mga pulitiko lang ngayon. Walang background, pero senador agad.”
(I want to be president right away. There are those who aim for a high position even if they have no proper background, like some politicians of today. They have no background to speak of, yet they want to be senators right away.)
Vice Ganda admitted he was referring to the vice presidential daughter. (Click here to read more)
