MANILA, Philippines – Senator Ralph Recto believed it is high time that a Facebook page featuring thousands of country’s most wanted criminals and fugitives be created to speed up their captures and subsequent arrests.
Recto said creating a Facebook account to display faces of notorious criminal elements should help the law in extending further the stretch of its long arm by utilizing the popular social media websites, including Twitter and Instagram and YouTube.
He added instead of just keeping the rogues’ gallery photos inside folders, files and albums of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and other law enforcement agencies, it would be wiser and helpful to expose them in public to spread awareness.
“Uploading the pictures and profiles of these wanted criminals on FB is easy and free. It is not that complicated,” Recto said. (Click here to read more)
