‘Rude’ Immigration Worker in ‘Shut Up’ Incident May Face Sanction

MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) official identified as Carlo Salazar may face sanctions for his alleged rude treatment of one Roselle Carreon and her foreigner husband during a shouting incident at a Makati immigration office last March 24.

This was according to Immigration Commissioner Siegfred Mison, who posted the information on his Twitter account last Saturday.

“After hearing both sides, shouting incident in Makati will be resolved by Board of discipline ASAP,” wrote Mison on his Twitter.

Salazar is the immigration supervisor who told Carreon to “shut up!” in the course of the discussion while the latter was trying to ask questions about her husband’s Alien Certificate of Registration ID card. (Click here to read more)
