MANILA, Philippines – The camp of pageant contestant Roxanne Cabanero reacted to the P1.6-million damage lawsuit filed by Slimmers World International, organizer of Ms. Bikini Philippines, of which Vhong Navarro’s accuser once participated as a candidate.
In a phone interview with an entertainment website, Cabanero’s lawyer, Virgilio Batalla turned the table against SWI accusing the organizer of using the case against his client to gain popularity themselves.
“Alam mo nakakatawa yung Slimmers World e kaya daw sila nagsasampa ng ganun para tigilan na yung pagbabanggit ng pangalan nila, para huwag ma-link sa media,” Batalla said. “E, sa ginawa nila, parang sila yung may gusto ng popularity.”
(It’s funny how Slimmer’s World filed the case to stop us dragging their name into the controversy, but with what they did, it appears they’re the ones who wanted popularity.) (Click here to read more)
