Inmarsat Offers Free Tracking of Commercial Airlines Amid MH370 Disappearance

The British satellite company who analysed and identified the last position of MH370 has offered tracking of long-haul commercial flights across the globe for free to avoid fate similar to the missing Malaysian aircraft.

The announcement was made by UK-based Inmarsat during the opening of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on Monday in Montreal, Canada.

Inmarsat’s analysis of the few last ‘pings’ or digital handshake between its satellite and MH370 helped reveal the plane’s final position somewhere in the Indian Ocean, although a series of fruitless hunt for several weeks has turned no sign of wreckage, except some floating garbage.
