PORT ORCHARD, Wash. – The 17-year-old suspect in the death and sexual assault of Jenise Paulette Wright, 6, was arrested on August 9 and bail was set by the court at $1 million.
Jenise Wright went missing last August 2 and was last seen when she went to bed on that night at the family’s mobile home in a trailer park in Bremerton.
Her body was found 5 days later fully submerged in a muddy area near the park with a blunt-force trauma to the head and strangled. The girl was also found to have been sexually assaulted.
The suspect was identified as Gabriel Zebediah Gaeta, an acclaimed wrestler and student at Olympic High School and a family friend. The teen has no prior criminal records, according to the police.
Gaeta was arrested by the police on August 9 and was taken to Kitsap Superior Court on Monday. The judge ordered investigation and the teen was held for a $1 million bail. (Click here to read more)
