Luy admits plan to leave Napoles and start own ‘pork’ business

MANILA, Philippines – In the cross examination during the bail hearing for accused Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla’s plunder case, whistleblower Benhur Luy admitted he once planned to leave former employer, Janet Lim Napoles, to start a network of business similar to his cousin.

Luy was forced to confirm this after the lawyer of Richard Cambe, Revilla’s former aide and co-accused, confronted him about what he said in an earlier sworn statement it was the reason why Napoles detained him.

Cambe’s lawyer Remigio Michael Ancheta noted Luy’s earlier testimony in which he mentioned about being scared and planning to leave Napoles’ company.

“Nagbalak akong magtayo ng networking na business na katulad ng kanila,” Ancheta quoted Luy’s statement and asked him if it was true. (I planned to start my own networking business similar to theirs). (Click here to read more)
