MANILA, Philippines – After the Commission on Audit (COA) announced its plan to conduct an audit on the alleged overpriced parking building in Makati, Senator Nancy Binay was quick to react by challenging Chairman Grace Pulido-Tan to release the report on controversial government funds under the Aquino administration.
Among the audit reports, Binay wants the COA to release in public those of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), the Disbursement Acceleration Program and the Malampaya fund;, all of which were allegedly tainted with corruptions under Aquino.
Binay issued the challenge to Tan noting that more than a year has passed since the onset of pork barrel scam and the subsequent probe that followed, yet not even a summary of these reports have been made public. She specifically noted the still-missing reports on the PDAF of the lawmakers and the Malampaya funds from 2010 to 2013, as well as on the DAP from 2011 to 2013. (Click here to read more)
