MANILA, Philippines – Kabataan party-list Representative Terry Ridon accused Senate President Franklin Drilon of “bullying” him when the two met at the birthday party of Aurora Rep. Bella Angara-Castillo on Saturday.
Ridon claimed Drilon “insulted” and gave him a mouthful in front of his colleagues over an allegation made by the youthful congressman about the supposed overpriced Iloilo Convention Center (ICC), a project funded by the Senate President’s Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
According to Ridon, he was seated at a table with fellow congressmen when Drilon approached their group to greet them and meet other guests at the party.
“As is protocol, we all stood up to greet him. I shook his hand, and he asked who I was. Congressman Ridon, I said, then, he imploded,” Ridon said in a statement.
“Jesus Christ, why do you keep insulting me? What did I ever do to you?” Ridon quoted Drilon addressing him repeatedly in a loud voice while pointing an accusing finger. (Click here to read more)
