The world’s most dangerous female terrorist Samantha Lewthwaite, also known as “White Widow”, was shot and killed by a Russian sniper in Ukraine, Moscow-based Regnum news agency claimed.
Lewthwaite, 30, was last reported in October fighting alongside the Islamic State (IS) in Syria. She joined the extremist group early this year and took the job of training a special team of female suicide bombers. She eventually became one of the most feared and powerful figure in the terrorist’s network.
Regnum said Lewthwaite was shot dead by a pro-Russian volunteer sniper in Ukraine two weeks ago. The sniper who killed her now carries a $1-million dollar bounty from Ukrainian special service, the report added.
The Russian news agency also said the “White Widow” became part of Aidar, a Ukranian volunteer battalion, where she fought as a sniper.
Lewthwaite’s father Andrew, a 58-year-old former British soldier, however, said he has never heard of such information about the death of his daughter. He refused to make any further statement.
The “White Widow” was married to Germaine Lindsay, the terrorist responsible for the July 7 bombings in London that killed 52 civilians and injured more than 700 others. She was allegedly a member of the Al Shaabab, a radical Muslim group based in Somalia.(Click here to read more)
