MANILA, Philippines – A video of a police officer showing very little interest, if any, on the complaint of a young woman who was reportedly a victim of a scam has drawn strong negative reactions online after it went viral just recently.
The video was first uploaded on the Facebook page of Ikwento Mo Kay Delio on November 3 and has since earned more than half-a-million views and almost 23K shares.
In the short clip, a girl was narrating her ordeal to the police officer in Laguna who gave very little attention as he appears to be preoccupied with his phone.
According to some media outlet who shared the video, the 17-year-old girl was the victim of the “kuyog-bintang nakaw” modus. She went to the Balibago Complex police station to file the blotter.
While recalling her harrowing experience, the cop behind the desk barely asked her some questions and was engrossed with his mobile phone all throughout the clip.
“Si Mamang Pulis imbes na i-blotter ang nangyari mukhang busy sa paglalaro ng COC,” the caption read. [Mister Policeman seems busier with playing COC (Clash of Clans) instead of attending to the blotter.]
The cop’s casual behavior has earned the ire of netizens who said he does not deserve to be in public service. (Click here to read more)
