They met randomly online as total strangers and eventually fell for each other; unaware that they actually have been a couple as three-year-olds in their preschool days.
It was a fairytale story made possible through the power of internet, and of course, fate.
Back in 2012, Justin Pounders was still reeling from the devastating loss of his fiancee’, Adrianne Robert, who was murdered. The tragedy brought him to Orlando in Florida, where his mother vowed to find him another love.
“She would pray every night for me to find someone that would make me happy,” Pounders said.
In 2014, he visited the dating site onMatch.com and was immediately smitten with the photo on the page of a woman named Amy Giberson.
“I saw her photo and for whatever reason, was instantly drawn to her,” 33-year-old Justin told People. “She just had this great energy, you could tell. I can’t explain it, but I knew I had to get to know this girl.”
The two met and dated for a year and eventually became a couple. It was only lately, however, that they realized they were actually childhood sweethearts more than three decades ago.
