In an interview during the premiere of independent film Conman: Honor Thy Fatherwhere Sanchez was one of the guests of honor last November 8 at the Trinoma Cinema, the veteran journalist and wife of presidential aspirant Mar Roxas said the latter was hurt but grateful that Rappler immediately apologized to the former Interior secretary.
“Alam mo, nasaktan siya dun (You know, he was hurt). Of course, we’re grateful,” Sanchez told PEP.ph. “It’s not so usual for newsmen would apologize. I think it’s something that is admirable.”
Rappler issued an apology to Roxas over the Instaquote it published which it said was misinterpreted by the public after it was ‘removed’ from the general context of the whole statement.
