MANILA, Philippines – There are no Filipino casualties in the deadly terrorist attack in Paris, France on Friday the 13th that has so far claimed the lives of more than 150 people including the 8 attackers.
This was confirmed by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in a statement released to the media on Saturday, November 14.
“So far there are no reports of Filipino affected by the incident in Paris,” DFA Spokesperson Charles Jose said in a statement via the Philippine News Agency (PNA).
“Our embassy continues to monitor closely the situation and stands ready to extend assistance to Filipinos who may need it,” the official added.
The latest terror attack in Paris has left the world in shock. It is the second deadly attack in the French capital this year following the Charlie Hebdo shooting that left at least 18 people dead.
So far, 158 people were confirmed dead including 112 hostages who were massacred inside a theater during a concert of American rock band ‘Eagles of Death Metal’. Dozens more were reportedly injured. (Click here to read more)
