  • Husband blows car while in a late-night romp with wife near her office
  • He is said to be jealous and suspects wife is cheating on him with a rich lover
  • The woman is a Russian parliament member of Vladimir Putin’s United Russia Party

A glamorous Russian lawmaker had her face ‘ripped off’ when her jealous husband detonated a grenade while the two were having an ‘intimate moment’ inside their Toyota car on Thursday night.

The couple both died in the explosion and their mangled bodies were found ‘naked to the waist’ at the backseat of their RAV 4 around 10:30 pm outside the woman’s office in the -6 degrees temperature in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk.

The wife was identified as Oksana Bobrovskaya, a 30-year-old glamorous MP and a member of Vladimir Putin’s United Russia Party serving as a regional legislative deputy.

Her husband, Nikita, who formerly served in the military, is believed to have detonated the explosive in a fit of jealousy. The couple is thought to have some marital row and the jealous husband suspected that the woman was cheating on him with a rich businessman.

“There is a version that he held in his hands a kind of grenade, or a piece of TNT,” reportsThe Siberian Times. “The couple had a conflict during which the explosives detonated.”

The force of the explosion has caused the victims’ faces to be disfigured severely, almost beyond recognition, local investigators said, and that ‘they almost lost their heads’ in the blast.

“It was horrific something you would not wish anyone to see. No heads, glass covered in blood — a nightmare,” said one eyewitness.

There were speculations that a bomb was planted in the car, but Mayor Anatoly Lokot said the victims’ gruesome death stemmed from marital problems and discounted that it was a terrorist act. (Click here to read more)
