- An entry submitted by a Filipina wins “Australia’s most awkward holiday snaps”
- The laughable scene shows the couple being photobombed by the woman’s brother with a view of his butt
- She won a mobile phone and a holiday trip for her brother’s effort
An entry submitted by a Filipina in Sydney has won the top prize in a competition aimed at encouraging people across Australia to share their most awkward, if not funniest, holiday photos that rarely or never find its way to Facebook or Instagram.
Australian website Cudo and magazine That’s Life recently launched the nationwide search for the best and authentic real-life moments that were either cringe-worthy or a major laugh draw.
Sharon Abella, 36, submitted a snap taken while she was on a holiday with her husband in the Philippines.
The rather very awkward scene showed the couple being photobombed by her brother, showing the latter’s butt in the background without them knowing.
Apparently, Abella’s brother connived with the photographer to capture the winning entry, which when she uploaded on Facebook earned numerous likes, shares and comments.
“It got heaps of likes and comments on Facebook!” The Daily Telegraph quoted Abella as saying.
“Everyone was commenting on it, saying how funny it was. So I saw the competition and thought I’d try my luck,” she said. (Click here to read more)
