MANILA, Philippines – A 26-year-old freelance female model suspected of carjacking was arrested by police in Quezon City on Thursday following an entrapment operation after receiving reports that one of the stolen cars was found in the hotel where she was staying.
The Toyota SUV owner, Monaliza Laurente, accused Rosel, who also goes by the name Mariecar Go Chua, of stealing the vehicle.
Rosel reportedly befriended Laurente on Facebook after introducing herself as a former highschool classmate of the victim’s daughter.
The suspect then invited Laurente to her wedding and set up a meeting so she can bring the invitation. She even called Laurente ‘Tita’ in their exchange of messages.
While inside the car, Rosel tricked the victim into leaving the car by telling her one of tires was deflated before running off with the vehicle. (Click here to read more)
