MANILA, Philippines – The gay man who became the subject of online condemnation after he was seen hitting his own mother in a viral video is reportedly being hunted by authorities for allegedly violating Republic Act No. 9262 or the “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004”.
Online users were outraged after the man, identified as Dheng Cheon Alvarez, is seen in the clip hurting his mother following a disagreement.
The obviously incensed Alvarez hit his mother several times despite other people in the video trying to intervene and admonish him for his cruel acts.
At one point, he grabbed her mother’s hair and slapped her in the face many times.
The poor mother can be heard repeatedly telling her son “Patayin mo na lang ako, anak” [Kill me instead, son], while he curses her.
“Wala akong pakialam kung nanay ko yan,” the man can be heard saying. [I don’t give a damn if she’s my mother.] (Click here to read more)
