MANILA, Philippines – The husband tagged as mastermind in the brutal double-slay case in Sta. Rosa, Laguna allegedly planned the killing in time for the couple’s wedding anniversary; this was according to self-confessed killer Ramoncito Gallo.
Gallo, the alleged hired killer who surrendered to the authorities last week, pointed to the husband as the one who planned the murder and paid him to kill the victims.
Laguna Provincial Police Office director Senior Superintendent Montejo told GMA News the police are now preparing to file two counts of parricide against Ricardo ‘Richard’ Sta. Ana for allegedly masterminding the killing of his own wife, Pearl Sta. Ana, and their one-year-old son inside their home in Celina Plains Subdivision last March 2.
The 29-year-old mother and her son Denzel suffered multiple blows to the head and the body, all fatal, supposedly caused by a hard object.
Gallo confessed the husband himself chose the date of the murder to be on March 2, which coincided with the couple’s wedding anniversary.
He claimed to have received a total of P60,000 for the contract – P30,000 each for the wife and the son. (Click here to read more)
