- A Filipino-Austrian woman was bludgeoned to death inside a construction site in Hong Kong
- Her Pakistani boyfriend has been identified as the main suspect
- Report suggested the couple had a violent argument over the breakup of their relationship
A 25-year-old Filipino-Austrian mother of three was reportedly bludgeoned to death with a hard object inside a construction site in Hong Kong early Tuesday, March 29.
The victim was identified in a South China Morning Post (SCMP) article as Andrea Bayr, a half-Austrian, half-Filipino. Her 27-year old Pakistani boyfriend is named as the main suspect in the crime and is now under police custody.
Police said the boyfriend is working at a building construction site in Hung Cheung Road in Tuen Mun as a night shift security guard.
It is believed that a violent argument erupted between the two over personal matters, prompting the couple’s friend, who is also a Pakistani, to call the police.
The suspect was seen attacking the victim with an electric drill when authorities arrived in the area around 2:15 am. (Click here to read more)
